Join us for the 2nd Annual conference on the Raritan River! This event brings together residents, municipalities, businesses and organizations that care about the future of the Raritan River. This year will highlight the progress made on various iniatives to clean up contaminated sites, improve water quality, deal with storm water, protect and enhance habitat and create more public access.

NY/NJ Baykeeper, Edison Wetland Association and Raritan Riverkeeper are leading trips on the Raritan River! We have 10 kayaks and 5 canoes available for rental, but feel free to bring your own boat. Tickets are $25 without a boat rental, and $35 including the boat rental.

South Branch Raritan River Cleanup

April 24, 2010

9:00am -12:00pm

 

South Branch Watershed Association (Association) will hold its 20th Annual Spring River Clean-Up on Saturday, April 24th, 2010 from 9 am to Noon. Volunteers are needed to help clean up the river and surrounding land at 21 sites throughout the entire watershed from the river’s beginning at Budd Lake in Mount Olive to its end in Branchburg. Come join us and spend the morning making your community sparkle!

 

Anyone can participate! Individuals, scouts, schools, churches, and senior citizen groups are just some of who has participated in the past.

 

Last year, almost 700 volunteers collected several tons of trash at 21 sites throughout the watershed.
